Mushroom Kadai

Mushroom Kadai Recipe

Simple cream based mushroom kadai is spicy and tasty dinner recipe.


2 cups chopped mushrooms

1 onion chopped

2 tomatoes chopped

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1 tbsp red chilli powder

1 tbsp garam masala

1 tbsp coriander powder

5 tbsp cream

½ tbsp kasuri methi

Salt as per taste


Rinse, wipe and chop the mushrooms.

In a pan, heat oil and add onions.

Add ginger garlic paste and sautee well.

Add tomatoes, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt.

Let it cook for 10 mins.

Now add 1 cup water and cream. Cook and simmer till mushrooms are done. Finally add kasuri methi and garam masala.

Serve hot with phulkas

Tomato Palak recipe


½ Tbsp oil

½ tsp cumin seeds (jeera)

1 cup tomato, chopped

¼ tsp turmeric (haldi) powder

1 tsp red chili (lal mirch) powder, or to taste

1 tsp coriander (dhaniya) powder

½ tsp cumin (jeera) powder

½ tsp chat masala

2 cup spinach, chopped

½ tsp salt, or to taste


Heat oil on medium heat in a medium pan, add cumin seeds, let pop.  Add tomato.  Cook a minute or two.  Add all the powders.  Mix.  Add spinach, mix, cook a minute.  When tomato starts to get mushy, change color, and looks cooked, add salt and sugar, mix.  Switch off heat and cover.  Done.  Serve with roti or rice.
