Prawns Fry Recipe
Prawns fry is amazingly tasty and crispy shrimp marinated with indian spices and deep fried in oil. It serves as a great appetizer and can be made in no time.
Prawns also known as kolambi is Marathi is one of my favorite sea food. I remember mom making this prawns fry every time she made the prawns curry.
I had been to India and visited the Mumbai Mahim Fish Market where I got the chance to select the shrimp for this prawns fry which was made by my mom 🙂
Ingredients                             Â
1 lb shrimp/prawns
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
½ cup yoghurt
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp red chilli pwder
½ cup rice flour
Salt as per taste
Oil for frying
Method:
In a bowl, mix shrimp, turmeric powder and salt. Marinate for 30 mins.
Add ginger garlic paste, yoghurt and red chilli powder to the marinate and mix well.
In a bowl mix rice flour, red chilli powder and salt.
Heat oil is a deep pan.
Coat the shrimp with the rice flour and deep fry it.
Serve it hot with lemon wedges and sliced onions

Dipping in the rice flour gives the dryand crispy texture. Simply luv this texture…. definitely gonna try this recipe…
