Paneer Manchurian Recipe
Paneer manchurian is an Indo- Chinese recipe that is very popular in the Indian restaurants. Batter fried paneer is added to the spicy and tangy Manchurian sauce. This recipe was made by my dad for tonight’s dinner and everyone loved it.
Instead of paneer, you can also use tofu to prepare this delicious Manchurian. It is served with noodles or fried rice. Baba made to egg fried rice to go with it
3 tbsp oil
2 capsicum chopped in 1×1 inch
4 medium sized onions chopped in bulbs
4 spring onions chopped finely
2 big tomato puree
2 cups paneer chopped in square
8 green chillies slit open
12-15 garlic pods chopped finely
1 inch ginger chopped finely
4 tbsp all purpose flour for frying paneer
4 tbsp cornflour for frying paneer
2 tbsp cornflour for gravy
1 tbsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp soya sauce
1 tsp vinegar
2 tbsp red chilli sauce
2 tbsp schezwan sauce
salt as per taste
In a bowl add all purpose flour, cornflour, salt and pepper. Dip the paneer pieces in the dry mixture one by one and shallow fry in oil.
Heat oil in a deep pan. Add garlic and sauté for a minute. Add green chillies and ginger. Next add bulb onions and let the it become bit translucent. Make sure it doesn’t become brown. Now add tomato puree and all the sauces. Let all ingredients boil for 5 minutes. Add capsicum. Let it cook for 3 minutes. Add salt
In a bowl take 2 tbsp cornflour. Add 1 glass of water and mix well.
Add quickly in the above manchurian gravy. Stir well. Make sure no lumps are formed
Finally add fried paneer and boil for 2 minutes. Serve it Hot with Egg Fried Rice.
Egg Fried Rice
Egg Fried is a very simple yet tasty preparation of rice sautéed with variety of veggies.
2 cups whole grain basmati rice
4 green chillies slit open
1 cup spring onions chopped
1 cup cabbage chopped
1 cup carrots chopped
1/2 cup chopped capsicum
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp ginger chopped finely
salt as per taste
Cook rice in 2.5 cups of water and keep it aside
Heat oil in pan
Add green chillies and ginger
Add all veggies and let them cook for 5 minutes. Keep the veggies crunchy and not mushy
Add 3 whisked eggs and mix everything well.
Finally add rice and salt. Mix well and serve hot with paneer chilli manchurian
Everything has to be cooked on high flame
