Gur Papdi Recipe-Diwali Delicacy
Whole wheat flour sautéed in plenty of ghee, mixed with grated jaggery and garnished with plenty of nuts.

Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup jaggery
1 cup ghee
Pistachios and almonds chopped
1 tsp cardamom powder
Pinch of nutmeg powder
Method
Grease an aluminum tray with ghee
Heat ghee in the pan on medium heat
Add the flour and mix well. Roast till golden brown and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside till it becomes lukewarm
Slice the jaggery. Slice the almonds and pistachios
Add the jaggery to the roasted flour and mix well
Add the cardamom and nutmeg. Mix well till the jaggery melts.
Transfer the mixture in greased tray. Grease your palms and spread the mixture evenly on the tray
Garnish with sliced pistachios and almonds
Set aside or refrigerate to cool completely. Once cooled cut into pieces and serve
