Mushroom Mutter Recipe
Green peas with mushrooms topped with some cream and nothing can go wrong:)
This is an ideal dinner recipe when you want to have something rich but definitely home made.
Green peas & mushrooms add the health quotient while cream adds the texture to the gravy.
Enjoy with Hot Phulkas!
Ingredients
2 cups mushrooms chopped
1 cup boiled green peas
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
a pinch of turmeric powder
2 tbsp fresh cream
1/4 tsp garam masala
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi)
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
For the paste
1 1/2 cups finely chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 large cloves garlic
piece of ginger chopped
1 tbsp broken cashewnuts
Method
Heat oil in a pan and sautée all the ingredients mentioned below paste. Once the onions are translucent, cool the ingredients and make a paste.
In another pan, heat oil. Add jeera , onions and the paste. Cook for 15 minutes.
Add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, kasuri methi, sugar, garam masala and cream. Let it cook for 10 mins.
Add mushrooms, peas and some warm water. Let it cook for 10 minutes.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot with phulkas or chapatti.
