Today is Mother’s Day and this post is about the Haldi Kunku which me and Aai celebrated in Mumbai during my this year’s India trip. 

Every year Aai makes sure that I celebrate this one festival with her in Mumbai. A week before I and her go shopping for Vaan which are the gifts given to my friends. She will make the best batata vada and masala dudh for my friends who come for Haldi Kunku. She knows that I am very particular about decorations so she will decorate the living room for me.

Tilgul is her speciality and she will stay awake till late night to make fresh tilache ladoo for the occassion.

It’s been almost 7 years since I moved to California from Mumbai and there has not been a single day when she hasn’t inquired about my well being. I cannot agree more to this quote”God cannot be everywhere so he created MOMS <3

I wore a Paithani with some temple jewellery which I got from Kerala

These gals are my oldest friends from and we know each for more than a decade now.
