Spinach Mushroom & Cheese Puff Pastry Recipe
Spinach Mushroom & Cheese Puff Pastry is made by stuffing the puff pastry with sautéed spinach-mushroom filling and cheese. It is an oven baked recipe. Pretty amazing for an evening snack. It can be a great appetizer for parties.
Ingredients
1 fresh bunch of spinach chopped
7-8 mushrooms chopped into small pieces
5 garlics finely chopped
1 tbsp chilli flakes
1 tsp pepper powder
¼ cup mozzarella cheese
Puff pastry -4 slices
Olive oil
Salt
Method
In a pan. Heat olive oil.
Add garlic and sauté well.
Add chopped spinach, mushrooms, salt, chilli flakes and pepper. Mix everything well. Let it cook for 20 mins.
Spinach Mushroom filling is ready.
Thaw and cut your puff pastry sheets into the desired shape. Fill with about 2 tablespoons of the filling. Sprinkle cheese on top and seal it. Make sure not to overfill your pastry, otherwise they will pop and leak.
Bake in a moderate preheated oven (180 deg) until golden from top and bottom and puffed up.
Notes
You can add sweet corn to the filling. It goes well with spinach and mushroom.
Don’t over thaw the puff pastries as they can become soggy.
Anita try an egg wash on the pastry before putting em in the oven next time. Great recipe and pics as usual tho!
Thanks Sagar. Will keep that in mind for next time:)
