My Rotimatic has been a total bliss and now with pizza update it has become more lovable. I tried making whole wheat pizza with rotimatic and it was perfect. Way more healthy and thin crust..just the way i love it.
I made some modifications in the pizza base recipe to make it more healthy as I am on low carb diet right now. Inspite of the modifications, the taste and crispiness of the pizza was not comprised. Also I tried making pizza sauce for the 1st time and it turned out to be great.
Makes 3 small palm size rotimatic pizzas
Rotimatic Pizza Base
1.5 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp yeast.
Mix all the dry ingredients well and add to the flour container of rotimatic
Make sure you all salt in the water container
Select pizza setting in rotimatic and pizza base will be ready
Cover the pizza bases and rest it up for 2 hrs in casseroles before baking
Pizza Sauce (Hebbars Kitchen)
2 ripped red tomatoe
3 green chillies
2 tsp oil
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1/2 tbsp basil leaves fresh or dried, finely chopped
¾ tsp sugar
¾ tsp kashmiri red chilli powder / lal mirch powder
salt to taste
½ tsp oregano
¼ tsp chilli flakes
1 tbsp tomato sauce
½ tbsp butter
Boil the tomatoes. Peel their skin.
Make puree of one tomato with green chillies and chop the other tomato removing seeds
In a pan heat oil, add chopped garlic and sauté until brown. Add chopped onions and cook until brown.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until totally done.
Add all the dry ingredients and cook well for 10 mins. Finally add butter and ketchup.
Homemade pizza sauce is ready.
Rotimatic Pizza base
Sliced onions, chopped broccoli, greens, shredded cheese, chillie flakes, and chopped tomatoes
On a baking tray brush oil
Keep it in the oven and preheat at 250 degrees
After preheating remove the tray out
Place the pizza base in it
Spread pizza sauce on the base. Add cheese and veggies. Sprinkle chilli flakes.
Bake the pizza for 30 minutes at 250 degrees.
