Khoya Modak Recipe & Ganpati Celebrations 2017
Made these easy Khoya Modaks for Ganpati this year and they were super hit. They are made only with three ingredients which are khoya, sugar and ghee. Also sharing some pics from this year’s Ganpati celebrations. We were fortunate to get multiple invites from so many friends who hosted Ganpati Bappa at their place every year.
Moulds and Accessories from Me Festive
4 cups khoya or mawa
Modak moulds (You can buy modak moulds on this link)
Silver Warkh (You can buy silver warkh on this link)
Crush the khoya with hands.
In a pan add khoya and sugar. Keep the heat on medium flame.
Keep stirring continuously for 15 minutes until sugar melts.
The mixture should start leaving the pan and will come together in 20 minutes.
Switch off the gas and let it cool.
Grease the modak moulds with ghee and now make modaks by using modak moulds.
Garnish with edible silver paper.
