Dry fruit Modak Video Recipe-Ganesh Chaturthi Special

1.5 cups of Seedless Dates
1/4 cup Almonds
1/4 cup Cashew nuts
1/4 cup Raisins
1/4 cup desiccated coconut
2 tbsp Poppy Seeds (Khus Khus)
1 tsp Ghee
Chop all the cashew nuts and almonds. Also chop the seedless dates and raisings to fine pieces.
Dry roast coconut and poppy seeds together until they turn slight brown in color and remove them aside too.
Dry roast the chopped cashewnuts and almonds together. Keep them aside
Heat ghee in the same pan and add chopped dates and raisins and fry continuously until it comes together and becomes like a thick mass.This takes 4-5 mins roughly. Do not leave it unattended as the raisins might get burnt. Switch off and let it cool slightly.
Grind the dates and raisin mixture for 5 minutes.
Now add roasted nuts, coconut and poppy seeds to the date raisin mixture and mix well.
Make modak using modak mould.
Store in an air tight container
