Chocolate Whiskey Bundt Cake & Christmas Celebrations 2016
Chocolate Whiskey Bundt cake is a perfect recipe for a boozy christmas 🙂 I made this for christmas party and it was a big hit.
One of my colleague got this cake for thanksgiving lunch at work and it was so good that I had to ask for the recipe.
The secret of the softness of this cake was the technique of using pudding mix and cake mix together.
Here is the recipe
1 Package White Cake Mix
1 Small Package Vanilla Pudding
1 C. Milk
½ C. Vegetable Oil
1 oz. Southern Comfort Whiskey (I use more)
1 C. Pecans or Walnuts
1 C. Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Preheat Oven to 325 degrees. Generously butter a bundt pan and set aside. (Pam baking spray works best.)
Beat all ingredients (except nuts and chocolate chips) with an electric mixer until blended. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Bake 50-60 minutes.
GLAZE: Heat ½ C. Sugar, ¼ lb. butter and ½ C. Southern Comfort Whiskey until sugar melts.
Prick slightly cooled but still warm cake all over, and pour on glaze. Let stand in cake pan for 2 hours.
Make a chocolate sauce by melting butter, milk and chocolate chips. Let cool slightly. When still pourable, drizzle sauce over the inverted cake.
You can make it non alcoholic by not adding whiskey in the glaze.
